Solaris™ is a new open-air fluorescence imaging system developed by PerkinElmer, enabling translational in vivo preclinical imaging in small and large animals. Solaris is a high impact research tool with the flexibility to be utilized in various invasive, intra-operative and superficial non-invasive image-guided fluorescence imaging applications. Solaris integrates into current surgical workflows, allowing the researcher to visualize optical data live, hands-free and in a fully lit space.

In this webinar Dr. Wael Yared will outline the technological advantages of the instrument. Solaris is engineered to provide real-time visualization of optical imaging data, in vivo, in an ambient light. Key technological features enabling integration into existing workflows include ambient light rejection, spectral unmixing and the inclusion of four fluorescence channels covering a wide spectrum of fluorescent agents and markers. Dr. Jeffrey Peterson will demonstrate the feature capabilities in a variety of preclinical disease models. Image-guided tumor detection and resection, as well as lymph node mapping and cell tracking applications will be highlighted.
