Molecular pathology has now been established into routine practice with tissue based comprehensive profiling by NGS being used for assessment of tumour tissue. With the expansion of therapeutic options, additional information such as MSI assessment, tumour mutation burden and homologous recombination deficiency are now part of tumour based assessment. The challenges of small samples and the requirements for successful testing will be discussed utilizing the Oncomine Comprehensive Plus panel.
