Abstract

Personalized treatment plans for blood cancers rely on the specialized skills of clinical laboratorians using a variety of analytic methods ranging from microscopic examination to molecular sequencing. This session will use case examples to highlight the importance of fundamental laboratory methods in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of blood cancers in pediatric and adult patients.

Webinar agenda:

  • At the end of this discussion, the participants will be able to:
  • Identify key clinical and morphologic features of various myeloid and lymphoid malignancies
  • Recognize essential biomarkers for diagnosis and prognostication
  • Design an effective strategy for specimen utilization based on the needs of their laboratory design and patient population
