Get Your Genome Ready! Labroots to Host 11th Annual Genetics Virtual Event Series, May 16-18, 2023!

Labroots is proud to announce that registration is open for the 11th Annual Event in the Genetics Virtual Event Series, which will be held from May 16-18, 2023. This fantastic event is free to attend and will host speakers from academia and industry to examine recent research, new junctures, and key struggles in the present genetics research community. Along with hearing from fantastic speakers, attendees are also able to earn continuing education (CE) credits for their participation in the event.

“Both wellness and disease management have come into focus, with an individual’s genetic variation emerging as a practical way to identify risk and personalized care,” said Dr. Howard McLeod, Director, Center for Precision Medicine at Utah Tech University. “Advances in genome technology, applied informatics, and therapeutic interventions are expanding the impact on a patient’s health. This session on the Labroots platform will show how ‘cutting-edge’ is becoming ‘routine’ for many clinical areas.”

"The idea of using a diagnostic test to help select patients likely to respond well to a particular therapy is hardly new – Herceptest to predict response to Herceptin first appeared in 1998 and the field has continued to grow from there," said Dr. Stephen Little, Founder, Yourgene Health. "Once quite a novel concept Personalized Medicine is now firmly established as part of normal healthcare practice. Using the Labroots platform I will give a high-level view of healthcare systems and what we have learned over the years to ensure successful translation of a companion diagnostic into clinical practice."
