WRITTEN BY: Nouran Amin

A giant space rock once slammed into what is now Greenland. The rock is believed to be a rare iron asteroid capable of leaving such a massive dent on Earth. Why haven’t we hear about this crash? Well, for millennia, evidence of this massive meteorite crash was hidden under the ice of Hiawatha glacier. Recently, aerial surveys revealed a depression that shows the impact of the crash.
