Abstract
There are challenges in quantifying and differentiating solutions and formulations of solutions such as monoclonal antibody proteins, cell culture media, and protein therapeutics.  Absorbance-Transmittance Excitation Emission Matrix (A-TEEM) spectroscopy is an emerging technique with huge potential for both R&D and process analytical laboratories in the pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical industries. A-TEEM spectroscopy helps fill in gaps in sensitivity and selectivity for these types of solutions left by other analytical tools used in pharmaceutical analysis today.

The webinar will be an overview of the A-TEEM technique and some specific applications for which information is gained relevant to pharmaceutical development and process analysis. Addressing such applications requires a set of tools for A-TEEM spectroscopy to help adopt the technique into labs that require Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and are also focused on efficiency and ease-of-use.

We will discuss OPC UA communication on A-TEEM instrumentation, and A-TEEM Direktor, a new multivariate analysis software package that is built around the pharmaceutical industry needs and offers a guided workflow specific to A-TEEM data and modeling. The combination of these solutions helps add the benefits of A-TEEM securely and easily into a GMP laboratory and process environments with the goal of improving productivity and efficiency of bio-pharmaceutical process.

Learning Objectives:
  • Understand several biopharma and pharmaceutical applications of A-TEEM spectroscopy and think of ways A-TEEM can be used in their own labs.
  • Evaluate if the Aqualog OPC UA server could plug into a current PAT Enterprise software process.
  • Discuss the advantages to having a clear and guided workflow for multivariate analysis of A-TEEM data.

Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after the live broadcast.
