Abstract
Breast cancer is a highly aggressive disease linked to poor clinical outcomes. Understanding the complex tumor microenvironment (TME) would help to identify novel therapeutic targets to improve disease outcomes. In this webinar, we will explore how a collaboration between HistoWiz, Leica Biosystems, and Cell Signaling Technology has enabled cutting-edge insights into the breast cancer microenvironment using the SignalStar™ multiplex immunohistochemistry (mIHC) technology on the BOND RX. Through this partnership, an 8-plex mIHC panel was developed to examine key biomarkers in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) breast cancer tissue. This novel approach, powered with custom antibody conjugation by CST, advanced automatic stainers by Leica Biosystems, and AI-driven image analysis platform by HistoWiz, provides a comprehensive view of tumor-infiltrating immune cells and their proximity to tumor tissues. This multiplex method significantly advances the study of biomarkers including CD8α, CD68, and Granzyme B, contributing to a better understanding of the TME and offering new avenues for therapeutic research. Join us to learn how this streamlined, customizable system facilitates rapid and scalable biomarker discovery, driving innovation in cancer research.
