Approaches to SARS-CoV-2 Sample Processing for RNA Detection

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has elevated the need for reliable, cost-effective means for widespread virus detection. This webinar will explore two distinct approaches for isolating viral RNA for the purpose of downstream nucleic acid detection. First, MilliporeSigma’s GenElute™ Mammalian Total RNA Miniprep Kit has been optimized and validated for easy, sensitive viral RNA purification and detection. Second, we have recently developed and commercialized a novel Viral RNA Extraction Buffer that can be mixed directly with virus-containing sample, allowing for rapid room-temperature lysis and RNA detection without the need for further clean up. We also talk about performance evaluation of  various MilliporeSigma One-step RT-qPCR kits for SARS-Cov-2 detection.
