As the prevalence of diabetes continues to rise in many areas across the globe, healthcare providers continue to look for methods that will aid in the diagnosis and management of patients. This is a complex process that poses challenges for patients, physicians, hospitals and laboratories. What is changing in today’s world is that many hospitals are being asked to take steps toward improving proactive and preventive care, improving patient outcomes while also saving on healthcare costs associated with diabetes and diabetes complications. Laboratories are invaluable partners in addressing this challenge.

Join us to learn more about HbA1c assay methodologies, the impact of analytical quality, standardization and harmonization of testing, and the advantages of using a clinical chemistry test as a diagnostic tool to aid in improving a patient's glycaemic control, decrease long-term complications, and enhance overall patient care.

Learning Objectives
  • Discuss and provide an overview of guidelines for diabetes testing and the advantages of using a clinical chemistry test as a diagnostic and monitoring tool
  • Describe HbA1c testing method principles, analytical quality and the role of standardization and harmonization
  • Review of different methodologies for HbA1c testing

Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
