Analysis of Insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) with high-resolution accurate-mass (HRAM) mass spectrometry offers significant advantages and allows for identification of single amino acid variants; In contrast, both normal and deleterious sequence variants might be missed by immunoassays or non-HRAM-MS methods.
