The Next Generation of Ion Mobility MS with Structures for Lossless Ion Manipulations

Speakers

Abstract

Structures for Lossless Ion Manipulations (SLIM) is a technology that provides a means to trap and transmit ions with high efficiency over very long path lengths (up to multiple kilometers) under partial vacuum (1-4 torr) using compact printed circuit board assemblies. This capability enables the generation of ultra-high resolution ion mobility separations due to gas phase interactions of analyte ions as they traverse the extended path length of the device. As the exclusive licensee of this technology out of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, MOBILion Systems is working in collaboration with Agilent Technologies to develop a SLIM-based product that integrates with Agilent QTOF systems. This presentation will provide an overview of the SLIM technology as well as compelling IM-MS data for applications ranging from biotherapeutic glycan profiling to isomeric lipid biomarker detection.
