Abstract

In this webinar, Jenny Meredith, Ph.D., HCLD(ABB), Clinical Microbiology Director at Prisma Health-Upstate joins forces with Sara Ezra, Molecular Supervisor at Pathology Consultants (subsidiary of PathGroup) to discuss HPV testing from both the physician and laboratory lenses.

Dr. Meredith will share background on cervical cancer and HPV testing guidelines. She will then explain how the introduction of an HPV test with extended genotyping, the BD Onclarity™ HPV Assay, has enabled her to offer patients more personalized management.

Sara Ezra will review the instrumentation and workflow that has enabled this change from the lab side, including their validation process with the BD COR™ System as an early adopter, and her advice for launching a new assay.

Through prevalence data and case studies, they will illustrate how these changes have been able to impact patient care.
