Hydrogen Peroxide Analysis by Ion Chromatography

Speaker

Abstract

The quantification of hydrogen peroxide can be challenging. Its small molecular structure and high oxidization strength make it very reactive. Many methods involved derivatization with some form of a chemical reaction. However, they are not always very reliable or reproducible. This talk will cover how to assay hydrogen peroxide directly, using High-Performance Anion Exchange chromatography with pulse amperometry detection (HPAE-PAD). There is no derivatization required. This method can be used for low-level analysis such as cleaning swabs and assaying the purity of hydrogen peroxide in the Semicon industry.
