    Biography

      Before joining Agilent in April of 2016, he worked for Bureau Veritas as Director of Technical Service, supporting the U.S., Canada, and Northern Latin America region for 12 years. His 30+ years of experience includes petroleum and petrochemical product methods development. He has developed numerous GC, HPLC, GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, 2D-GC-MS, online GC analyzer, and analyzer sampling systems. George has served as chairman of ASTM Subcommittee D02.D for over 14 years. He also serves on the U.S. American National Standards Institute Technical Advisory Group, as a designated expert for ISO Technical Committee 28.


    Abstract

    Agilent has been developing standard test methods used by the energy and chemical industry at ASTM. Collaborating with customers is at the core of test method development. This presentation provides a brief overview of the ASTM process and the standard test methods under development. A summary of standard test methods in development is presented, including spectroscopy, GC, and GCMS instruments.
