Abstract
Thyroid Function Tests (TFTs) are among the most commonly requested laboratory investigations; they help clinicians assess the thyroid status of patients and manage patients' treatment. Therefore, providing clinicians with precise, high quality test results is critical for the appropriate Thyroid patient management.

During this session, Prof. Huić will provide his perspective on daily management of thyroid pathologies and real-life patient cases to underscore the role of the lab in the patient pathway, especially with TSH measurements. We will also hear from him on the latest development from a clinical point of view on Thyroid patient management and how COVID pandemic has affected those patients.

In the 2nd half of this webinar, Mr MacKenzie will present his analytical insights on the evaluation of on-market TFTs during his current tenure at UK NEQAS and key considerations for both laboratories and manufacturers to provide most accurate measurements of TFTs, that will ultimately impact patient care and pathway.

Learning Objectives
  • Gain an overview on real-life Thyroid patient cases and how discordant lab test results from clinical assessment can affect proper Thyroid patient management
  • Learn about the latest development on Thyroid patient management and how COVID pandemic has affected Thyroid patients
  • Understand from the view of an EQA scheme from UKNEQAS, the performance of key on-market TFTs

Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
