November is Diabetes Awareness Month! November 14th marks the birthday of insulin co-discoverer Dr. Frederick Banting and is recognized globally as World Diabetes Day. It is an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about diabetes, a disease that is approaching epidemic proportions globally. Over 100 million Americans are diabetic or prediabetic. 9.4% of the U.S population has diabetes. Almost 25% of people living with diabetes will not even know they are sick.
