Even though our Summer textbook scholarship has closed, LabRoots is still keen on helping you with your research and STEM learning! Please continue to watch for valuable scholarships offered by LabRoots for Fall 2018 and into 2019. Our past scholarships have helped students in the STEM fields needing additional support to cover textbook costs or support for research projects, travel expenses, and training supplies associated with their academic goals as they pursue a degree in one of the life sciences. With rising tuition fees and variable research funding from government and private organizations, many students find hardship in pursuing their education. Scholarships are offered to assist students in continuing in STEM fields. Additionally, there is a general assumption that scholarships are primarily designed for only those students who need financial assistance. On the contrary, winning a scholarship can benefit any student as acknowledgement for hard work and passion for their education. Being recognized for your accomplishments by winning a scholarship can give you the confidence to pursue these and other goals and offer a way for outstanding students to distinguish themselves among peers. Scholarships can be for undergraduate and graduate students, providing $1,000-$3,000 in direct costs. These scholarships are merit-based, and applicants can show their qualifications and need in the application process. LabRoots supports STEM education worldwide for students both in, and outside the US, and wishes to encourage all students to stay in science.
